📢 Trading Restrictions Around Economic News Releases

To ensure fair trading conditions and protect against extreme volatility, the following restrictions apply during high-impact economic news events.

📆 Trade Timing Restrictions

  • No trading is allowed within 3 minutes before and after a high-impact news release.

  • Example: For a news event at 12:30 PM, trading is restricted from 12:27 PM to 12:33 PM.

✅ Permissible Trading Activities

  • Positions opened more than 3 minutes before the news release may be held through the event.

  • Limit Orders (with predefined Stop Loss and Take Profit) placed more than 3 minutes prior to the news event may be triggered during the release.

  • Existing SL/TP on trades initiated before the restricted window remain active and unaffected.

🚫 Prohibited Actions

The following are strictly prohibited within 3 minutes before, during, and after a high-impact news release:

  1. Manually opening or closing trades.

  2. Modifying Stop Loss (SL) or Take Profit (TP) levels.

  3. Placing, editing, or canceling any pending or limit orders.

Violating these rules will result in a Hard Breach of trading terms.

📰 Affected News Releases

These rules apply to all currency pairs and indices affected by the following Red Folder News Events:

🌍 Currency-Specific Restrictions

  • If the red folder event affects a specific currency (e.g., GBP), restrictions apply to all related pairs (e.g., GBPUSD, GBPJPY) and indices priced in that currency (e.g., FTSE100).

  • For speeches marked red, trading can only resume 5 minutes after the speech ends.

✉️ Email Announcements

Certain restricted news events may be announced via email. These must be observed as per the timing specified in the email, regardless of standard rules.

⚠️ Black Swan Events

In the case of unpredictable events such as:

  • Geopolitical conflicts

  • Market-wide crashes

  • Sudden governmental or central bank interventions

The following may occur:

  • Trade being voided due to market irregularities

  • Slippage and widened spreads

  • Disruptions in liquidity and extreme volatility

While not considered a typical breach under the news rules, we reserve the right to take action for any trades affected during such extraordinary circumstances.
